Why Therapy?

The life challenges that we face can seem especially daunting when our outdated coping strategies compromise our best efforts at success. While familiar coping strategies have proven useful to us in the past, we often find that they do not serve our needs and interests in the present. In fact, hidden from our perception, these 'default' thought and behavior patterns can unconsciously interfere with our goals and self-perception, undermine our concentration, creativity, confidence, sense of purpose and ability to foster joy for ourselves and others.

I believe that outdated thought and behavior patterns can be transformed into more conscious and creative solutions via the collaborative therapeutic process-- a unique sounding board outside of one's immediate family and social circles in support that can promote self-discovery, self-expression and opportunities for more fulfilling life experiences in general.
