Fees & Policies

Session Fees
$200 for individual and couples psychotherapy sessions (55 min). $295 for extended individual, couples and family therapy sessions (85 minutes). Session fees are payable by cash, check, debit/credit or HSA card at the time of each visit and online payment by arrangement.

Reduced Fee
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis and based on need.

After Hours Emergencies
Phone and email messages are retrieved on weekdays from 9AM to 6PM. I will make every effort to return calls on the same business day but return calls or email may take up to 24hrs depending on my availability. If you experience an after-hours psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency room in your area, or call Psychiatric Emergency Services at San Francisco General Hospital at (415) 206-8125 for immediate assistance.

Cancellation Policy
I have a 24 hr cancellation policy. Please reschedule or cancel a session within 24 hours of the scheduled session time to avoid being charged for the full session. Cancellations for Monday sessions must be made on the previous Saturday by 12pm.

The Use of Email
Email can be used for the purpose of scheduling and changing appointments. The same 24 hour change/cancellation policy applies using this means of communication. Email is not used to discuss clinical diagnoses, assessments or interventions. Please do not share confidential information or report a psychiatric crisis by email.

Risks & Benefits of Treatment
There are potential risks and benefits to entering any psychologically based treatment. Sessions often involve discussing difficult aspects of one's life, which may lead to some uncomfortable feelings during and between sessions. I believe that symptom relief can be achieved by addressing these feelings in session. While psychotherapy have been shown to benefit therapy participants, as with medical treatment, there are no guarantees of what gains may occur or when.
